The Samsung TV Plus mobile app is now compatible with a wide range of Galaxy devices including foldables. As you might know, SamMobile exclusively reported on Samsung’s plans to bring TV Plus to mobile earlier this year. Our report was confirmed by the company at Galaxy Unpacked in September when it released the Samsung TV Plus mobile app for the Galaxy S10, Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy S20, and Galaxy Note 20 series.
Now, however, the Samsung TV Plus mobile app is supported by the Galaxy S9 series and the Galaxy Note 9, the Galaxy S20 FE, as well as the company’s foldables including the original Galaxy Fold, the Galaxy Z Fold 2, and the Galaxy Z Flip. The list goes on.
Samsung TV Plus is now supported by mid-range Galaxy phones
In addition to the flagship models mentioned above, Samsung has also added support for a handful of mid-range phones as well as one rugged device, namely the Galaxy XCover Pro. As for mid-range handsets, the Galaxy A51, Galaxy A51 5G, and Galaxy A71 5G have all made the cut.
There’s no telling what devices will support Samsung TV Plus next but perhaps the company should also be focusing on making the platform available for its tablets too. Many Galaxy tablets have been marketed by Samsung as multimedia-consumption machines and in that spirit the Samsung TV Plus platform would be a perfect fit. There’s no new information on the matter as of this writing so the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is presently the largest mobile device to support Samsung TV Plus.
