Weekly poll results: Oppo's Find N2 foldables excite, but availability is an issue

Last week’s poll shows that Oppo can become a major player in the foldable smartphone market – the new Find N2 duo was received with praise and enthusiasm. However, only one stands a chance of making it big in the global market. The Oppo Find N2 Flip will be available in many markets, though which ones and when are details that Oppo left for 2023. The flip foldable market doesn’t have too many entries – the Galaxy Z from Samsung and Razr from Motorola are the main competitors – but its gap-free design and reasonable dimensions will sure win many hearts. Pricing is a concern as...

Another twelve months are behind our back, and Oppo once again remains among the leaders in the smartphone world. It announced a custom NPU called MariSilicon X in the final days of 2021, but it was only this year that it made it to smartphones. Oppo unveiled foldables, regular flagships and a lot of mid-rangers. Here are the winners and losers in the Oppo portfolio for 2022. Winner and loser: Oppo Find N2 The new foldable looks a lot like the predecessor, but seeing how the Find N had arguably the best hardware among horizontal foldables that's not bad news. New Samsung Galaxy A54 renders leak showing four colorways

We've already seen the upcoming Galaxy A54 in some leaked renders back in November, but today a new set got out. And this time, we get to see the device in four colorways instead of one. The Galaxy A54 has been rumored to get its official announcement in January, which explains why the leaks are intensifying right now. The phone has big shoes to fill - its predecessors have been Samsung's best selling phones, so the A54 needs to take that momentum forward. Samsung Galaxy A54 in green, purple, black, and white As you can see, it's expected to launch in at least these four...

These models will arrive on the market in 2024, according to display analyst Ross Young. These iPad Pros will feature OLED screens, and because of the minute increase in diameter could actually have the same overall physical sizes as their predecessors, as Apple may opt to simply trim the bezels somewhat in order to accommodate the new panels. My Top 5 phones of 2022 - Yordan

The year finally comes to an end, and we look back and reflect on what was served to us in these eventful 12 months. In the world of smartphones, we saw over 500 new models, many of them great in one way or another. As my colleagues share their top five choices for 2022 we can normally identify some trends - some love the foldables, others went for cameraphones. I just like premium devices in general. I have been writing about mobile technology for over ten years, the last six being part of GSMArena. I have seen plenty of innovation and evolution, but I genuinely believe 2022 was the...

We've gathered the best and the worst from Motorola in 2022. Google has been making Pixel smartphones for years, but it’s only now beginning to enter a flow state of sorts. After a significant change of pace with the Pixel 6 series in 2021 - making an in-house chipset, ushering in a new design, and finally overhauling the camera system - in 2022 it was time to do some good old-fashioned refining. As a result, the Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro are capable and mature smartphones, and their support cast looks almost complete with a Pixel Watch and a coming-soon Pixel tablet. Google Pixel 7 Pro I’m not sure what is more surprising – that Google is still making phones or that it actually made a good one this time.
