Samsung had announced the Galaxy Z Fold 2 on stage during the Galaxy Unpacked 2020 event. However, the foldable phone didn’t launch alongside the Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Buds Live, and the Galaxy Watch 3. Yesterday, the company revealed through launch invites that it will fully reveal the Galaxy Z Fold 2 on September 1. Now, the phone’s UK has been accidentally revealed by the South Korean firm.
The Galaxy Z Fold 2’s pre-order page went live yesterday with a price tag of £1,799. That’s £101 less than the price of the original Galaxy Fold in the UK, and that could be due to the exclusion of the Galaxy Buds from the box. Last year, the company was bundling its truly wireless earphones with the Galaxy Fold. However, it won’t bundle the Galaxy Buds+ or the Galaxy Buds Live with the Galaxy Z Fold 2. The BTS unboxing of the device hints towards the inclusion of USB-C AKG-tuned earphones inside the box. Moreover, the new Galaxy Fold device only offers half the storage space (256GB) compared to the original Galaxy Fold (512GB), but that ends up making the phone cheaper.
In Europe, the second-generation Galaxy Fold device is rumored to be priced at €1,999. The company might also bundle a YouTube Premium subscription for free with the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and a 5% cashback if the purchase is made using a Samsung Pay Card. Additional benefits for pre-ordering the Galaxy Z Fold 2 include the Galaxy Z Concierge service that provides 24×7, one-on-one assistance from a team of experts. Samsung is also offering a one-time screen repair service within 12 months of purchase for a low cost.
