Samsung is bringing its new budget-conscious smartphone, the Galaxy A21s, to more markets, the latest of which is Russia. As of this writing, the phone with 32GB and 64GB of built-in storage is listed online at Samsung Russia next to a Where to Buy button. Therefore, it’s not quite available for purchase online just yet, but you should be able to find it in select retail stores.
Although prices are not mentioned on the online store page, Samsung Russia’s official announcement does reveal that the Galaxy A21s with 32GB of storage should cost 15,990 rubles ($229). Meanwhile, the 64GB model will set you back 16,990 rubles ($243).
New Exynos 850 and a 5,000mAh battery
The Galaxy A21s is Samsung’s first smartphone to use the Exynos 850 SoC. It was built on an 8nm LPP process and it has eight ARM Cortex-A55 CPU cores clocked at up to 2.0GHz, paired with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM.
Unlike many other Galaxy smartphones on the market, the Galaxy A21s has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. This is arguably a better choice, especially at this price point where under-display fingerprint scanners can be even more unreliable than usual. The rear panel also accommodates a 48MP main shooter, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and two 2MP sensors – one macro and one depth.
The 13MP selfie camera resides in the upper-left corner of the screen. It’s an Infinity-O panel design with a 6.5-inch diagonal for the TFT LCD and a resolution of 1600 by 720 pixels. All the components rely on a large 5,000mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging. In Russia, the Galaxy A21s is available in black, blue, and red.
