Galaxy Note 20 will reportedly have a flat screen

The Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra are expected to be officially unveiled on August 5. The upcoming high-end smartphones are rumored to bring bigger displays, faster processors, better screens, and higher capacity batteries. The Galaxy Note 20 is also rumored to bring a change in its design that would be appreciated by many S Pen fans.

According to noted tipster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce), the Galaxy Note 20 will have a flatter screen. This design change would undoubtedly make it easier to use an S Pen towards the edges of the display. Most Galaxy Note series and Galaxy S series devices since the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 edge have had curved edge screens. However, Samsung started reconsidering its strategy with the launch of the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10 Lite, and the Galaxy Note 10 Lite.

There’s still no credible information on whether the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will have a curved screen or a flat screen. So, we’ll have to wait a few days more to know if Samsung plans to shift to flatter screens for the Galaxy Note series completely. Many Galaxy Note fans have been requesting for flat displays for better ease of use, especially while using an S Pen.

The Galaxy Note 20 is expected to feature a 6.7-inch screen, but it might not feature a refresh rate of 120Hz. The phone could be equipped with the Exynos 992 processor (or Snapdragon 865 in some markets), 12GB/16GB RAM, 128/256GB storage, a microSD card slot, a triple-camera setup at the rear, a 4,300mAh battery, and at least 25W fast charging.

Would you prefer a flatter screen or a curved edge screen on your next Galaxy Note series smartphone?
