The rollout of Samsung’s August 2021 security update started in the last week of July 2021, and the Galaxy A52 was the first phone to get it. Most high-end Galaxy smartphones launched over the past two years have received the update already. Now, the Galaxy S10 5G has started getting the latest security update.
Samsung has released a new update to the Galaxy S10 5G on T-Mobile’s network in the US. It comes with firmware version G977TUVS7FUG6 and includes the August 2021 security patch. Samsung had revealed earlier that its latest security patch fixes 40 bugs and vulnerabilities related to privacy and security. It is not clear whether this update fixes the 3D facial unlock bug that users were facing.
If you are a Galaxy S10 5G user on T-Mobile’s network in the US, you can download the latest software update for your smartphone by navigating to Settings » Software update and clicking on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file for your phone from our firmware database and flash it manually.
The new update could expand to the Galaxy S10 5G in more markets and on more networks over the next few days. The smartphone was launched two years ago with Android 9 Pie on board. Samsung release the Android 10 update for the phone last year and the Android 11 update earlier this year.
