Galaxy M02 goes official in India with 5,000mAh battery, affordable price tag

After silently unveiling the Galaxy A02 in Thailand, Samsung has now launched the Galaxy M02 in India. The Galaxy M02 appears to be a rebranded version of the Galaxy A02 as they both have the same design and specifications. The new smartphone is priced at INR 6,999 (around $95.89) in India, and it will be available through Amazon.in.

The Galaxy M02 will be available for purchase starting February 9, and it will be sold in four colors: black, blue, grey, and red. Amazon India is even offering the new smartphone at an introductory price of INR 6,799. The South Korean firm hasn’t announced any additional cashback offers for its new smartphone yet.

Galaxy M02: Big screen, big battery, and a dual-camera

The Galaxy M02 has a 6.5-inch Infinity-V LCD display with HD+ resolution. At the front, it has a 5MP selfie camera, and at the rear, the phone sports a 13MP+2MP dual-camera setup. The 13MP sensor has autofocus and can record Full HD 1080p videos at 30fps. The 2MP sensor sits behind a macro lens for taking extreme close-up shots. It runs Android 10 with One UI 2 out of the box.

Samsung’s new affordable smartphone is equipped with a MediaTek MT6739W quad-core processor, 2GB/3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot (up to 1TB). It features a dual-SIM card slot, LTE, GPS, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, a headphone jack, and a microUSB port. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery.
