Dongle life: Galaxy Note 10’s 3.5mm to USB-C adapter pictured in leak

We’ve seen the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ in all their glory in a slew of leaked renders already, and now, a render showing the 3.5mm to USB-C adapter that will reportedly accompany the Galaxy Note 10+. Yes, there really is no headphone jack on Samsung’s upcoming flagship, and any traditional wired audio gear you have lying around will have to connect to the Note 10 or Note 10+ through the dongle you see in the pictures below.

The design of the adapter is pretty straightforward, as you would expect. The white paint job means the Galaxy Note 10’s other in-box accessories will likely be white as well, just like the accessories you get with the Galaxy S10 lineup. Samsung isn’t bundling a 3.5mm to USB-C adapter with the Galaxy Tab S6, but the company isn’t expected to make it a separate purchase for Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ buyers. The devices will also be accompanied by USB-C earphones, possibly with noise cancellation support in addition to the AKG-tuned sound.

And Samsung will probably give away free Galaxy Buds with Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ orders. It did so for the Galaxy S10 series, which does have a headphone jack, so it wouldn’t be unreasonable to assume the Korean giant will have a similar offer for the upcoming Note flagships.

Will you be buying the Galaxy Note 10 or Note 10+ even if there’s no headphone jack, or is the dongle life something you simply cannot tolerate?
