Sony has launched two new smartphones in the Indian market, the Xperia R1 and the Xperia R1 Plus. These are compact, budget Android phones that Sony claims are "designed for Indian lifestyle" and "designed to excite the new Indian", whatever that means. The Xperia R1 has a 5.2-inch, TFT LCD with 720p resolution. Inside is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage.
