The long-awaited Android 7.0 Nougat firmware for the Galaxy J7 (2016) is now available to download from our online database for manual flashing. There’s a caveat, though: it’ll only work with units registered in India.
That said, we expect to have the firmware for other regions listed on our database in the near future—so be sure to check our weekly Firmware Magazine to find out when it’s available for your handset.

Last week, Samsung released a near-identical update for the Galaxy J7 (2016) in Russia. The only difference was the firm started rolling it out over-the-air (OTA), meaning customers didn’t need to manually flash it onto their device.
The OTA should start making the rounds in India in the coming weeks.
