As per a new report coming out of South Korea, Samsung could be looking to expand its curved display flagship lineup to the Galaxy A series as well. We have recently heard about the Galaxy A7 (2017), which will probably feature a standard flat screen display. This venture could be official sometime next year as Samsung pushes to get the Galaxy A lineup into the mainstream fold.
The Galaxy A lineup is pretty diverse and includes budget offerings like the Galaxy A3, and slightly advanced models like the Galaxy A5, the A7 and the A9. There’s no confirmation from Samsung on this matter, so we suggest you take this report with a heavy dosage of salt. The upcoming Galaxy S8 is also expected to include a dual curved-edge display, so there’s plenty to look forward to for Samsung fans next year.
Although Samsung is currently leading the pack in several countries like the U.S. and China, its market share is slowly shrinking due to the rise of several manufacturers in Asia. The likes of Huawei, Oppo etc are breathing down Samsung’s necks in China, which means that the only way to remain competitive is to come up with low-priced mid-tier handsets with unique and attractive hardware specifications underneath.
