New Galaxy Z Fold 3 specs leak reiterates the obvious

We are just one month away from the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3. And both phones have already been leaked extensively, leaving only their price tags in question. A new leak has now reiterated the Galaxy Z Fold 3’s specifications (camera and hardware) and the launch time frame.

According to a new report from 91Mobiles, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will feature a 12MP+12MP+12MP camera setup at the rear, making it extremely similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 2’s camera. The report also claims that the upcoming foldable flagship smartphone has a 10MP selfie camera on the cover display. Although the selfie camera was visible in the recently leaked render images, the report claims that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will have a 16MP under-display camera on the foldable screen.

Many were expecting to see the Snapdragon 888+ processor inside the Galaxy Z Fold 3. However, today’s report claims that the foldable smartphone will use the vanilla Snapdragon 888 chipset. The device is said to come in a variant with 512GB internal storage.

It is also claimed that Samsung will launch its new foldable devices in the second half of the second week of August. It will go on sale in the UK and the US in late August. In India, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 could become available for purchase in September 2021. A few weeks ago, we had exclusively reported that the device could be priced up to 20% cheaper than the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

Galaxy Z Fold 3 expected specs

The Galaxy Z Fold 3 has a 6.23-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O cover display, while its internal foldable screen is said to measure 7.55 inches diagonally. Both the screens will reportedly feature a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ certification. It will be launched with Android 11 on board and have 12GB/16GB RAM. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 has a side-mounted fingerprint reader, S Pen compatibility, an IP rating for dust and water resistance, and a 4,400mAh battery.

Other features of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 could include stereo speakers, 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, UWB, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB Type-C port, fast wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging.

Galaxy S21 FE will not use the Snapdragon 888 chip exclusively

We all know that the Galaxy S21 FE’s launch has been delayed by a few months due to the ongoing chip shortage. The device was expected to be launched in August 2021, but the launch date has now been pushed back to Q4 2021. The phone was originally meant to exclusively use the Snapdragon 888 processor, but it has now been revealed that there will be a variant of the device with the Exynos 2100 chip.

According to a report coming out of South Korea, the Snapdragon 888 variant of the Galaxy S21 FE will be launched in Europe, the US, and some other markets around the world. The Exynos 2100 variant of the Galaxy S21 FE will be launched in the remaining markets, but it is still not clear which countries will get the Exynos version of the smartphone. The report also reiterates that Samsung will launch the Galaxy S21 FE in the fourth quarter of this year.

An earlier report had claimed that Samsung might be forced to limit the Galaxy S21 FE’s availability to Europe and the US, so today’s report comes as a respite. A combination of Exynos and Snapdragon processors is a part of Samsung’s usual launch strategy anyway, and the Exynos 2100’s performance is quite close to that of the Snapdragon 888, so a lot of consumers might not feel offended that they won’t get access to the Snapdragon version of the Galaxy S21 FE.

The upcoming affordable high-end smartphone from Samsung is expected to feature a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It could have a 32MP selfie camera and a 12MP triple-camera at the rear. The Galaxy S21 FE is rumored to have 6GB/8GB RAM, 128GB/256GB internal storage, stereo speakers, an IP68 rating, 5G, GPS, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, Samsung Pay, USB Type-C port, and a 4,500mAh battery.

The Galaxy S21 FE has an in-display fingerprint reader. It could also come with 45W fast wired charging, fast wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging.

Samsung reveals Galaxy F22 specs and launch date for India

The Galaxy F22 will be launched in India on July 6 at 12 PM. We had first reported about the existence of this smartphone two months ago, and then it was revealed that it will be largely based on the Galaxy A22. Now, Samsung has revealed the Galaxy F22’s design, specifications, and launch date for the Indian market.

Samsung India has started teasing the Galaxy F22 on its own website and Twitter. The device features a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-U display with HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The South Korean firm has also revealed through teaser images that the Galaxy F22 will feature a 48MP quad-camera setup on the rear and will come powered by a 6,000mAh battery.

Except for the increased battery capacity, there doesn’t seem to be any hardware change between the Galaxy A22 and the Galaxy F22. So, we expect the device to feature a MediaTek Helio G80 octa-core processor, 4GB/6GB RAM, 64GB/128GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot. The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint reader. It might have a 48MP+8MP+2MP+2MP quad-camera on the rear and a 13MP front-facing camera.

The Galaxy F22 could launch with Android 11 on board. Its connectivity features could include GPS, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Although the teaser images only showcase the phone in black, the device could be launched in at least one more color. The phone is expected to cost somewhere around INR 18,499 ($250).
